Itinerary
Check into your first accommodation then venture out and see what Phoenix has to offer!
Today, drive to the pièce de résistance of Arizona - The Grand Canyon! Stay in Grand Canyon Village, just outside the national park entrance so you can spend plenty of time admiring this incredible world wonder. Drive the winding roads with stop-off points for viewing the canyon!
Spend the day hiking the Bright Angel Trail through the Canyon. Or if you feel like driving a bit more, check Mohave Point. It’s considered one of the most incredible canyon views in the world - colorful striped cliffs and rocky landscapes for miles. If you have time, travel on to Hermit Road for another highly rated walking path.
Check out of your accommodation and get ready to spend your day in Page. Don't miss the breathtaking view from the Glen Canyon Dam. You can discover the Navajo Village Heritage Center to learn more about the history and culture of the area. Be sure to try the local cuisine - excellent barbecue, steak, and burritos!
Depart Page and make the drive to Flagstaff. Before you arrive in Flagstaff consider a detour to Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument: a monument site where you can walk one of many trails to explore the cinder cone.
While in Flagstaff, be sure to check out one of the many microbreweries.
Enjoy a scenic drive as you transition from Flagstaff to Phoenix. You may opt for a pit stop in Sedona to see the shops or picnic in Oak Creek Canyon. History buffs will love a detour to Jerome, a historic mining town known as the "Wickedest Town in the West!"
Take your time on the drive, then spend your final night in Arizona souvenir shopping or relaxing.
Your epic trip has come to an end. It's time to head home and start planning your next adventure!
