Lima
Being the capital and largest city in the country, Lima is a necessary stop for all Peru travels. Among the modern developments are many Spanish Colonial buildings to explore.
It's a cosmopolitan city with some beautiful museums, parks and and gourmet restaurants. Lima is one of the culinary capitals of the world, with restaurants serving innovative (and tasty) interpretations of traditional Peruvian food.
Jacada can help you find (and book) the best for your Lima stay during your luxury tour of Peru. The city has Pacific Ocean views and a subtropical climate that make it a good spot for visitors to rest up and before venturing to higher altitudes.
Northern Peru Amazon Cruises
Peru's Northern Amazon is a huge area, reached by flying into the 'forest-locked' city of Iquitos which has no road connections to the rest of Peru.
Travelling here allows one access to one of the most pristine areas of the Amazon, the Pacayra Samira reserve of flooded forest. An area of outstanding beauty that is best visited by boat.
That's why we've selected a number of luxury, expedition cruises to allow you to explore deep into the jungle, whilst remaining in comfort. What makes a trip into the Amazon exceptional however, is the guides, who we feel are exceptional on these cruises. It's through their intimate knowledge of the rainforest that you will come to appreciate and enjoy this vast wilderness.

Sacred Valley
North West of Cusco, the Sacred Valley is one of the most beautiful and historically important parts of Peru. The Valley was one of the bases of Inca civilisation, the river that winds its way through believed to be aligned with the Cosmos.
The beautiful scenery and relaxing setting make this a great place to stop and relax for a few days. Several of the Inca's finest works were built in this region making it a fantastic place to visit and take in the ancient culture of Peru. The valley is also home to many indigenous people living in the same traditions as they have been for centuries and it's possible to visit local markets and communities as well as the many magnificent Inca Ruins built along the length of the valley.
The Hiram Bingham and the Vistadome luxury trains depart from Cusco and stop in the Sacred Valley on their way to Machu Picchu. Speak to your Travel Designer about incorporating the Sacred Valley into your luxury tour of Peru.
Machu Picchu
One of the New Seven Wonders of the World, Machu Picchu is an attraction that's not to be missed. The Lost Incan City as it's sometimes referred to is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most important archaeological sites in Peru, if not the Americas.
Situated on a mountain ridge north west of Cusco and 2,400 meters above sea level. Machu Picchu is a marvel of human engineering and testament to the advanced level of Incan Science and culture. There's something very special about this unique location, it really has to be seen and experienced to be believed. Our expert local guides will help you see the very best of the citadel, exploring the best viewpoints and pondering the many questions about its mysterious past.
The Citadel can be reached from Cusco and the Sacred Valley by high quality luxury rail services including the Vistadome and 'Hiram Bingham' trains or by hiking the famous Inca Trail. Our experts are here to help you choose the option that will suit you best on your luxury Peru tour.
Capital of the Incan Empire from the early 14th century until its Spanish conquest, Cusco is still a beautiful city with a magical feel. Gateway city to the infamous Machu Picchu, the city is situated in a valley of the Andes Mountains with not only historical Incan ruins, but Spanish architecture and wealth. A trip to Cusco is not to be missed on any luxury Peru tour.
Our guides will unlock the experience of Cusco for you, not only explaining the history, but also the hidden secrets of today's city, from interesting restaurants to local Artisans' workshops.
One cannot visit the Machu Picchu ruins without also visiting all the history and culture that this city has to offer making it the archeological capital of the Americas. Native Incans still inhabit the area speaking their Quechua language and thriving primarily off of agriculture. The cobblestone streets, adobe houses, and open markets add to Cusco's unique charm.
