This 8 day trip from Santiago de Compostela will take you through fairy tale like forests, medieval towns, quaint Galician villages, wild, untamed countryside and pretty coastal towns to end at Cape Finisterre, known as ‘the end of the world’ in medieval times. This area is a land of ancestral legends, a hidden gem waiting to be seen by those looking to understand the essence of ‘green’ Galicia. The Finisterre Way is the perfect Camino for novice walkers due to its relatively flat gradients, excellent signage and good range of services (cafes, restaurants) along the trail to allow for rest breaks. Daily distances are an average of 18km. Alongside the sense of achievement and numerous chances to taste the local Galician food, this walking trip also allows you to qualify for the pilgrim’s certificate of completion; the Fisterrana.
