What's this trip about?

Belize is blessed with an abundance of habitats—vast wetlands, dense rainforests, Caribbean coastlines fringed with reefs—and this itinerary explores them all. Train your binoculars on hundreds of bird species in Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary (arguably Belize’s best birding site) and the broadleaf jungle of Bocawina National Park. Hike to hidden waterfalls and fly on a zip line through the rainforest canopy. Take a scenic cruise down the New River to visit the Mayan ruins of Lamanai. Unplug from daily life on remote Tobacco Caye, where your biggest decision is whether to kayak or snorkel the turquoise waters of the reef. On this idyllic tropical journey, pure enjoyment is all in a day’s “work.”
