What's this trip about?

With its fine architectural details and dramatic slopes, its vibrant and quirky street life, and the interplay of sun and fog over the bay, San Francisco offers abundant opportunities to fine-tune your photography skills. This advanced workshop is led by a National Geographic photographer and a professional instructor and is designed for advanced photographers and National Geographic Photography Workshop alumni who want to take the next step in their technical and image-making abilities. Our workshop features lectures and demonstrations designed to enhance your ability to tell powerful stories through a variety of advanced photography techniques. With Catherine Karnow in September, focus on travel photography and storytelling through portraits of people and places, learning how to interact with your subjects to achieve more insightful, compelling images.
