Perched on 5,200 acres of picturesque, forested hills in the northeast corner of the Mark Twain National Forest, newly renovated Trout Lodge offers hotel-style lodging with two queen beds, full bath and a balcony or patio overlooking beautiful Sunnen Lake. Walking paths abound and there are dozens of places to sit and socialize, indoors and out. An exceptional array of available activities includes nature hikes, horseback riding, zip lining, many water and boating activities, a ropes course and a climbing wall. Good to Know: Alcohol allowed only in rooms. Soap provided, but not shampoo. No TVs in rooms; TV in common area. Cell phone service spotty. Housekeeping once a week.
