Watson Homestead Conference & Retreat Center
5 nights Painted Post
Participants at Watson Homestead — welcoming Road Scholar retreats since 1982 — stay in comfortable, motel-style rooms in the Main Lodge, at the heart of which is the soaring, wood-beamed dining room. Other lodge facilities include a heated indoor pool (open May through November), mini-golf and library. The quiet setting invites Road Scholars to enjoy a meditative walk in the seven-circuit stone labyrinth, relax in the gazebo or contemplate the night sky from the patio. The grounds include an 1839 one-room schoolhouse that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Good to know: No TVs in guest rooms; TV located in lounge. Alcohol allowed. Housekeeping daily.
