Accommodation
Jock Safari Lodge, Kruger National Park, South Africa
This historic lodge was the first private lodge to be built in the heart of Kruger National Park, Africa's premier wildlife reserve. The lodge is built in the Jock of the Bushveld Concession Area in the southern area of Kruger National Park at the confluence of the Mitomeni and Biyamiti rivers. The lodge's two spacious decks offer stunning views over a pool and the river.
This cultural has the ambiance of a bygone era, and incorporates elements of the colonial past, as well as indigenous Zulu and Shangaan cultures. The lodge has exclusive traversing rights in an area that is regarded as one of the best areas in the Kruger National Park for its Big Five sightings.
Guests can enjoy daily game drives in open safari vehicles to see the areas diverse wildlife. Set out on bush walks to see ancient Bushmen paintings nearby. Learn about the stories of the stars during a star gazing session or in the rainy season head out on a Frog Safari and see the many different amphibians that occur in the area. Be pampered with a relaxing wellness treatment at the spa.
The lodge is approximately 458km (284.6 miles) from Johannesburg, and is easily reached via the Malelane Gate.
Hamiltons Tented Camp, Mluwati, Kruger National Park, South Africa
This 4* romantic camp accommodates couples in 6 magnificently appointed safari tents overlooking the Nwatswitsonto River. The main tent is an impressive structure with elegant lines and an open sided lounge and dining area opening onto a wide, spacious deck shaded by huge Jackalberry trees overlooking the dry river bed. Singita Lebombo Lodge, Nwanetsi Concession, Kruger National Park
Situated in the Nwanetsi Concession Area in the Kruger National Park, this Kruger Park lodge is located in a game rich area and guests will enjoy excellent wildlife sightings, including the Big Five (Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Buffalo and Elephant).
This exquisite safari lodge rests lightly among the ancient boulders of the Lebombo Mountains overlooking an African plain where two rivers meet. Guests will be able to experience the beauty of the bush, while staying in majestically appointed surroundings.
Guests will stay in luxurious suites elevated on stilts along the cliff side. Look out from the timber and glass suite and enjoy the breathtaking views over the African bush. The suites all have floor to ceiling glass fronts, ideal for game viewing. They are furnished with stylish contemporary flare.
Dine indoors or out while watching game traverse the vast open grassland. Wine connoisseurs will delight in the wine cellar, boasting an array of award winning of fine wines. The dedicated Bush Spa offers a comprehensive activity and personal treatment programme. See exciting African wildlife at this Kruger Park lodge while on one of their open Land Rover game drives which are led by expert guides. Alternatively, experience the African bush up close with an optional walking safari.
Cancellations of confirmed bookings may only take place according to the procedure outlined in this clause. All requests for cancellations shall be made by the client in writing to Siyabona and shall only be effective on the date of actual receipt by Siyabona. The following cancellation fees shall be applicable and shall be calculated by reference to the total booking cost ("TBC") of the services booked for by the client.
Siyabona entitled to act as agent or principal with regard to the provision of the services. 56 days or more notice 75 percent of the TBC shall be refunded.
- 55 - 49 days notice is given 50 percent of the TBC shall be refunded
- 48 - 42 days notice is given 25 percent of the TBC shall be refunded
- 41 - 35 days or less notice given no refund of the TBC shall be made
No refunds shall however be made to clients who make bookings less than 35 days prior to embarkation (for this purpose, embarkation shall mean the date on which a client is booked to commence travel or to commence an excursion for which the services are booked whichever is the greater), nor shall refunds be given to clients who arrive early, late or who do not show for a booking. In the event of a client terminating a booking for whatever reason, no refund shall be made unless with the prior written approval of a director of Siyabona.
Clients are therefore strongly recommended to obtain their own comprehensive travel insurance to cover such contingencies.
Any cancellations made, in terms of these standard trading conditions shall be subject to the following deductions and administrative charges:
Refunds to credit cards: the relevant cancellation fee, less a 6 percent credit card surcharge and an administrative charge.
Direct bank deposits: the relevant cancellation fee, less actual bank charges debited by Siyabona's bankers, less an administrative charge.
Forex transfers: the relevant cancellation fee, less actual bank charges debited by Siyabona's bankers, less an administrative charge.
Cash payments: the relevant administration charges, less actual bank charges debited by Siyabona's bankers, less an administrative charge.
