On arrival, we transfer to the Radisson Aquatica Resort (4T), set on the beachfront in Carlisle Bay, Bridgetown. Day 2 Bridgetown Bridgetown is Barbados’ largest city, filled with British colonial architecture and wonderful natural beauty, including pristine white-sand beaches edged with azure waters. Staying on the coast of this beautiful Caribbean island presents the perfect opportunity to explore this, plus the island’s interior, where you can find flower forests or Harrison’s Cave, a breathtaking cave system recognised as one of the world’s largest. Day 3 Bridgetown (overnight) A day at leisure before we transfer to embark Braemar (3T+) this afternoon, with time to settle in before our first dinner on board. Day 4 Bridgetown After remaining in port overnight, you can discover more of the UNESCO-listed city of Bridgetown, which boasts numerous historic sites alongside thriving, modern shopping malls. This afternoon we set sail to cruise the beautiful Caribbean Sea, as we relax on board. Day 5 St George’s, Grenada Grenada is a wondrous place to discover with its 45 paradisal beaches, secluded coves, rainforests and landscapes of crater lakes (a result of the island’s volcanic origin). Grenada’s capital, St George’s, is our port of call today and presents great opportunities for discovering unspoilt natural beauty. Visit Mount Qua Qua to admire unforgettable views of this tropical island from its soaring 2,370ft peak; or explore an old plantation which fills the air with scents of nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and vanilla. Alternatively, embark on one of the hiking trails through magnificent mountainous landscapes to be rewarded with more magical views, or get a taste for local history with time at Fort George, constructed by the French in 1705, and meet the locals in the vibrant Market Square. Day 6 At sea Sail the Caribbean’s rich blue waters, home to interesting marine life. Day 7 Willemstad, Curacao This morning we arrive in charming Willemstad, a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its 18th century pastel-coloured houses. The beautiful waterfront is a delightful place to discover and hosts a range of charming cafés, ideal for relaxing with a drink in front of the glistening waters. Highlights of the region includes the ‘Wedding Cake’ house of Scharlooweg, an example of Dutch colonial architecture; along with the mighty Queen Emma Bridge, a pontoon bridge which swings open a number of times in the day to allow ships to enter and exit the harbour. Day 8 Kralendijk, Bonaire Bonaire’s beautiful capital, Kralendijk, is a stunning place to explore with its stucco pastel houses, beautiful beaches and amazing landscapes. The region is surrounded by protected Marine Park, where you can spot an abundance of tropical fauna and various seabirds. Alternatively, discover the Washington Slagbaai National Park, a nature sanctuary home to a fantastic selection of native wildlife including parrots, iguanas, turtles and flamingos; the park is also home to the island’s oldest village, Rincon. Or, simply relax on one of Bonaire’s golden beaches soaking up the bright Caribbean sunshine. Day 9 At sea Spend the day relaxing at sea as Braemar navigates more of the glorious Caribbean Sea. Day 10 Road Town, Tortola Road Town, the capital of Tortola, is typically old-town Caribbean, located among tumbling hills and a stunning bay. The picturesque town is home to magnificent old buildings, some of which still support original red-tinned roofs, and delightful shops selling local produce. Admire handmade textiles, paintings and ornaments sold along the waterfront by local craftsmen and women, or explore JR O’Neal Botanical Gardens, four acres of exotic plants, a lily pond, stunning waterfall and an amazing collection of tropical bird houses. Day 11 At sea A relaxing day at sea, giving you time to enjoy the facilities aboard your ship. Day 12 Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos Arrive in the sun-drenched region of Grand Turk, with reefs perfect for snorkel enthusiasts. Escape into pure bliss on the tranquil beaches or become besotted by the centuries-old buildings with bleached wood and limestone façades that occupy the waterfront, and the area’s glorious gardens. Alternatively, visit the Turks and Caicos National Museum in Guinep House, a structure with timbers that belonged to ships wrecked on the offshore reefs. Another top attraction is the Columbus Landfall National Park, home to fine beaches, magnificent corals and a diverse array of flora and fauna. Day 13 At sea Day 14 Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis St Kitts’ elegant capital, Basseterre, hosts some of the Caribbean’s oldest buildings including the impressive Brimstone Hill Fortress, where breathtaking views over the island can be captured. Roam the enchanting streets of original Georgian architecture, including the waterfront’s magnificent Treasury building, Berkeley Memorial Clock and St George’s Anglican Church. After years of fires and natural disasters, the church was rebuilt in 1869, returning it to its former glory. Take a tour to the St Kitts Scenic Railway, which travels along the coast of the island providing gorgeous views of the region’s natural beauty. Day 15 St John’s, Antigua and Barbuda Antigua’s capital and largest city, St John’s, is the perfect place for those wanting to relax in the sun and get a taste of local Antiguan life at the vibrant street market selling lush fruit and flowers. Wander the charming streets lined with red and yellow colonial buildings reflecting the region’s past, and find one of the charming beaches featuring welcoming seaside bars under the typically hot sun. You may wish to venture to Antigua’s grand English Harbour and historic Nelson’s Dockyard, a cultural heritage site which was once home to the British Navy for 300 years. Day 16 Roseau, Dominica Dock in Roseau, to explore Dominica’s glistening waterfalls, deep lakes, colourful flora, beautiful fauna and protected rainforest. Visit Morne Trois Pitons National Park, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997, to see magnificent mountain ranges, mud ponds and the Boiling Lake. Or stay in the city of Roseau to discover traditional buildings, elegant gardens and a vibrant waterfront. Day 17 Bridgetown - In flight We disembark Braemar this morning and join an island tour of Barbados, which will include a buffet lunch and tour at the Sunbury Plantation before our onward transfer to the airport for our direct, scheduled British Airways overnight flight to London. Day 18 London Arrive at London Gatwick Airport, where you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.
