Christmas in Interlaken

Day 1 London - Zurich - Interlaken Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home, for your journey to London Heathrow Airport for a direct, scheduled Swiss International Air Lines flight to Zurich. We transfer to the magical village of Interlaken, nestled between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz and our hotel, the Lindner Grand Hotel Beau Rivage (5T). Enjoy a welcome drink on arrival and dinner is included at our hotel this evening. Day 2 Interlaken Considered to be one of the most famous destinations in Switzerland, Interlaken is the ideal base from which to explore the region, with over 45 mountain railways, cable cars, paddle steamers and miles of pistes in winter. Relax and unwind this morning and in the afternoon we take a horse-drawn carriage ride through the town and its surroundings. This evening dinner is served at our hotel. Day 3 Christmas Eve - Thun This morning a short train journey takes us to the medieval Old Town of Thun, located at the lower end of the lake. Wander around the historic streets and discover its unique charm. Visit the mighty castle and the restored Knights Hall, dating back to the 12th century or sit and watch the world go by at one of the many cafés along the Aare River. We enjoy fabulous views of the impressive mountain scenery and picturesque waterside locations on a cruise back to Interlaken. You may wish to visit the hotel’s wellness centre, which boasts an indoor swimming pool, or visit one of the many restaurants or bars for a Christmas Eve tipple before dinner at the hotel this evening. Day 4 Christmas Day - Interlaken Today is free for you to choose your own activities or you may wish to join an optional morning excursion to the incredible Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe. For more than 100 years, the Jungfrau railway has been making its journey to Europe’s highest-altitude railway station at 3,454 metres above sea level - right at the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Site ‘Swiss Alps Jungfra-Altsch’. All through the year, the cog railway runs steeply up a tunnel to the Jungfraujoch from Kleine Scheidegg. As you step out onto the snow, the view of the 4,000-metre peaks will take your breath away. Don’t miss the Ice Palace and the Sphinx Observation Deck. This evening we will be served a special Gala dinner at our hotel. Day 5 Boxing Day - Schilthorn Today we take a coach to Stechelberg, the starting point of the Schilthorn cable car in the Lauterbrunnen Valley. In 32 minutes, we rise up 2,970 metres to reach the summit and the location of the Piz Gloria revolving restaurant, named for the James Bond film ‘On Her Majesty’s Secret Service’ which was partly filmed here. There is an exhibition dedicated to the film and the restaurant offers stunning and exhilarating panoramic views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau during our included lunch. We travel back by cable car and coach to the hotel and prepare for another special Gala dinner. Day 6 Interlaken - Zurich - London We transfer to the airport for a direct, scheduled Swiss International Air Lines flight to London Heathrow. On arrival you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.
