Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive Bangor, ME Travel to the Coast of Maine to the city of Bangor Maine. En-route, we stop in picturesque Boothbay Harbor, with its quaint shops and restaurants, for some free exploration and lunch (on own) before continue to our hotel in Bangor. After check-in and some rest, we get together for dinner.  Day 2 - Bangor - Yarmouth, Nova Scotia Travel to Saint John today where we board the ferry for the trip across the Bay of Fundy, home to the largest tides in the world. Arriving in Nova Scotia, we travel the Western Arm to the city of Yarmouth and check-in to our hotel for the evening.  Day 3 - Yarmouth - Halifax BREAKFAST is included at the Grand and this morning we will meet our guide and set out along the Eastern Coast of Nova Scotia. There will be special sightseeing stops in Lunenburg, home of the famous Canadian sailing ship Bluenose and also in Peggy’s Cove with its lonely lighthouse and quaint shops as the edge of the sea. Our destination is Halifax for two nights at the Lord Nelson Hotel & Suites. The Lord Nelson is located in the heart of the city and within walking distance of the historical harbor. This evening DINNER will be included in Halifax.  Day 4 - Halifax BREAKFAST at the hotel and then a Halifax City Tour this morning conducted by a guide in kilts. What else would you expect in Nova Scotia?  During our tour we’ll visit the historic Citadel Fortress Museums. Then, this afternoon, we embark on a Tall Ship for a cruise of the Halifax Harbor followed by dinner.  Day 5 - Halifax - Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island BREAKFAST. The Provinces of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island are divided by the Straits of Northumberland. The Canadians simply call it PEI, Canada’s smallest and certainly its greenest province. It’s said there are over 50 shades of natural green on this pretty island. Spend two nights at The Holman Grand Hotel in the heart of the Island’s Capital City.  A  PEI  LOBSTER DINNER is included on the wharf tonight. Charlottetown is ideal for walking and exploring and our hotel has a perfect location.    Day 6 - Prince Edward Island BREAKFAST at the hotel and a free morning in Charlottetown. This afternoon an island guide will take us to the home of Anne of Green Gables and the Prince Edward Island National Seashore. In Cavendish you’ll learn about famous Prince Edward island oysters at an oyster talk & taste, and another Lobster DINNER (other meal choices too) awaits at popular PEI Lobster Suppers in New Glasgow.    Day 7 - Charlottetown - Bangor After BREAKFAST we’ll cross the Confederation Bridge  from Prince Edward Island to Cape Tormentine, New Brunswick. This ocean bridge is an engineering marvel. Our travels will take us to the city of Fredericton and along the scenic Saint John River Valley. Shop at Duty Free before continuing to Bangor where overnight lodging and DINNER is provided.  Day 8 - Depart Acadia National Park After breakfast we depart for Acadia National Park. Acadia is the only National Park located in New England. Upon arrival we embark on a trolley tour of Acadia National Park with a local guide. After, there is some free time for lunch or to discover more of Acadia before we say goodbye to Eastern Canada & Maine.
