"My husband and I have just returned from our 3-week honeymoon in Colombia organised by Bruce and Paula and the wider team at BnB Columbia. It was truly the best holiday/ travel of our lives. They can really offer any activity from A to Z.  Their tour guides were also top-notch. Especially Alejandro in Medellin. The best tour guide we have ever experienced. Some of the activities we did included a salsa class, a boat party with Colombian dance performance, as well as an indigenous village visit. All of these activities were top quality delivered with top service. We also thought that BnB Colombia offered a very good value for your money compared to some UK agencies which (in my personal view) were a bit of rip off for what they offered. If you are thinking of going through an agency, dont go with a UK agency, definitely go with BnB Colombia. BnB Colombia also made us feel I like a family. We felt like they really cared about us and that we had the best time ever. They were so engaged with us, so supportive. We felt safe at all times, no safety issues at all. They organised the transport everywhere which was always on time (this made me feel bad actually as we were always running late which was embarrassing). The drivers were super patient with us. Paula always texted us the night before about the plan for next day. We didn't have to worry about ANYTHING. Honestly, the only shortcoming of this agency is that I am not sure they cover other countries, otherwise we would 100% book with them again! Michaela & Jonathan"

"I enrolled early in the French Art Voyage because of the caliber of the sites visited: no visit to the overly crowded Louvre but rather to Monet’s Giverny and Cezanne’s studio. A preliminary itinerary I just received has no mention of Giverny so I went online to be sure it was still open. It is. I checked Cezanne’s studio and found it closed for renovation. I called Road Scholar to ask why Giverny was canceled and did they mean Cezanne perhaps. A customer service rep was clueless. I spelled Giverny to her twice. She put me on hold for 15 minutes, returned and said someone would contact me. I told her to wait a minute. I had more. Was Cezanne’s studio to be canceled as well.? Five days later I get an email from Judith telling me Giverny was not officially on the itinerary, Cezanne’s studio had to be removed due to renovation and I could not see the Mona Lisa!!! I responded saying I sensed some bait and switch also reminding her I NEVER asked about the Mona Lisa. She replied telling me how to arrange Giverny for myself and reiterating that I could not see the Mona Lisa!!!! I have experienced ageism but not gaslighting like this. I am not an old fool who imagined Giverny on the itinerary. I am not an old fool insisting on a Mona Lisa that was not. Road Scholar has no business marketing to elders with staff like this."

"We did the four days trip to the Ciudad Perdida with Gabriel as our guide and Luis as our translator. Both of them were very well informed and great fun to be with. On our trip, we were served excellent food and had showers and toilets in every camp. On the last three days we even had the opportunity to take a nice, cool bath in the river. "Our Azores trip was excellent except for a bit of rain :-); The volcano hikes were spectacular and the side trip notes were very helpful. Doing the volcano hikes was fantastic, especially being high enough to see the Atlantic Ocean to the south and the north, beautiful! We also enjoyed the beach walks and walking to town from our hotel, Santa Barbara Eco Hotel. We stayed at the Santa Barbara Eco Hotel which was excellent. The room, property, pool and spa and services were all excellent. We enjoyed meals everyday at their restaurant which where all excellent. A very relaxing and restful and comfortable hotel. The restaurant at the Santa Barbara Eco Hotel is excellent as is there sister property, The White House, were we enjoyed a spectacular sunset and dinner one night.
