Itinerary
We fly in the morning from Bucharest to Scotland (Edinburgh), rent a car and visit Edinburgh. In the afternoon we go to the Glencoe area of the Highlands, where we stay.
The first route we will do is a ridge like the one in Piatra Craiului - Aeonach Eagach. It may be necessary to insure ourselves in 1 or 2 passages from the ridge.
In the morning we leave for Skye. We reach the island by road bridge and head north for some spectacular coastal scenery - Quirang and The old man of Storr.
We leave in the morning for Elgol, from where we will take the ferry as passengers to reach the base of the route. Dubhs Ridge is a beautiful ridge with fabulous ocean views. The ridge is traversed in teams and even involves a booster.
Depending on how we are after the previous day, we choose the route to this fantastic peak. We can climb the classic route or a more challenging technical route.
This is a day dedicated to visiting the castles in the Isle of Skye area (especially Dunevagan and Eilean Donan) and the famous Talisker distillery.
Visit Urquhart Castle on the famous Loch Ness and the famous Stirling Castle (if you remember the movie Brave Heart).
We leave early in the morning for Edinburgh from where we have the return flight to Bucharest.
