What's this trip about?

When most people think of the Southwest, they think of Grand Canyon, Bryce or Zion National Parks. However, deep into the remote wilderness of southern Utah, several less well-known national parks offer a host of natural wonders to discover. As one of the least explored regions of the Lower 48, southern Utah’s “Red Rock Country” offers unspoiled nature in all of its naked glory, from Seussian spires and multicolored rock “needles” to landscapes full of magnificent red arches. We designed this trip for fans of the Southwest who want to veer from the heavily touristed parks to explore more isolated landscapes, including Capitol Reef National Park, Goblin Valley State Park, Canyonlands and Arches National Parks. Our itinerary combines moderate hikes and cultural sightseeing with comfortable lodging, and plenty of Southwestern charm! Our knowledgeable and entertaining guides specialize in the region and know it intimately. They can tell you everything you need to know about Utah, from the legend of Butch Cassidy and the Mormon migration to the geological formation of the land. Each day, we’ll venture out on scenic drives to enjoy memorable day hikes, delicious picnic lunches, and fabulous sites. You’ll spend two nights in a classic western lodge, see the petroglyphs at Newspaper Rock, spend three nights in Moab, the adventure capital of Utah. For photographers, the landscape is a dream-come-true, filled with towering cliffs, mesas, buttes, alpine peaks rising from the desert and unique western towns. Capped with a private charter flight over iconic Southwestern landmarks, you’ll finish your trip with a comprehensive understanding of Utah’s natural splendor.
