Billed as the largest steamboat ever built, the American Queen, with her antebellum elegance and classic grace, is built to resemble a traditional Mississippi riverboat inside and out. But she offers all the modern amenities and entertainment facilities you'd expect on a contemporary cruise ship– such as a pool, state-of-the-art fitness centre and a spa. Every day a copy of the 'River Times' will be delivered to your cabin which includes a timetable of the daily activities and also provides plentiful information on that day's port of call, and details daily deals and discounts on board, as well as the drink special! Activities range from quizzes and scavenger hunts to lectures from the on-board 'Riverlorian', the ship's expert in all things Mississippi. You can also look forward to nightly shows in the ship's two-deck Grand Saloon, performances can be anything including jug bands, tribute acts and Broadway-style extravaganzas. There are 222 cabins arranged over four decks
