Itinerary

Day 1 London - Calgary - Banff Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home, for your journey to London Heathrow Airport and a scheduled Air Canada flight. On arrival in Calgary our coach transports you to Banff, set in the heart of the Canadian Rocky Mountains, and our hotel for the next three nights, the Delta Banff Royal Canadian Lodge (4T). Day 2 Banff - Lake Louise - Banff This morning we board our coach for a tour through the surrounding area. We visit the most famous of Canada’s many lakes, Lake Louise, a stunning lake sitting in a small glacial valley, surrounded by trees and snow-capped mountains. Day 3 Banff Today is free to explore Banff, claimed by many to be the loveliest small town in North America. It is surrounded by the soaring peaks of the mountains and lush green parkland offering a wide choice of wonderful walks. You can take a gondola ride to Sulphur Mountain, the ‘top of the world’ at 7,500ft, providing spectacular views over the surrounding mountains, Bow River and Banff Town. Day 4 Banff - Kamloops We board our coach for a journey full of scenic delights as we travel westwards to the small city of Kamloops in British Columbia for our overnight stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton (3T). There is a good variety of restaurants downtown for your dinner this evening. Day 5 Kamloops - Seattle Today our journey takes us southwards, along the Coquihalla Highway, allowing you to enjoy the ever-changing natural scenery. We cross the border into Washington State and then travel on to Seattle and the Paramount Hotel (4T), for a relaxing evening. Day 6 Seattle This morning we have an orientation tour of Seattle before transferring to the Port of Seattle to commence the next step of our journey aboard MS Eurodam (4T). There will be time to make yourself comfortable in your stateroom before sailing this afternoon, leaving Seattle behind for our 1,000-mile journey to Alaska. Day 7 At sea Today is a full day at sea and a great opportunity to explore the ship, familiarising yourself with your home for the next seven days. There are many amenities and restaurants, or choose to simply relax and take in the scenery, with the opportunity to see some of the magnificent marine wildlife. Day 8 Juneau This afternoon we arrive in Juneau, only accessible by sea or air. Sailing through scenery reminiscent of the Norwegian fjords, we arrive in Alaska’s state capital - full of contrasts as a sophisticated cosmopolitan city squeezed between the Gastineau Channel and Coast Mountains. The massive Mendenhall Glacier and the immense Juneau Icefields are close by and the vast Tongass National Forest stretches away to the northeast. Day 9 Glacier Bay Most of our day will be spent in breathtaking Glacier Bay, a unique ecosystem of plants and animals living within an ever-changing glacial landscape. Sail past monumental glaciers, perhaps experiencing the moment when a chunk of ice calves from the face generating a thunder-like boom - Glacier Bay has more actively calving tidewater glaciers than any other place in the world. Or try to spot the wonderful marine wildlife that call the area home, including the harbour seal and sea otter, or look out for bald eagles resting on an iceberg. As we sail out of the Bay you may spot humpback whales or orca. Day 10 Sitka Sitka was once a key Russian settlement and the onion domes of St Michael's Cathedral are your first reminder of this. Once the capital of Russian America, for the first half of the 19th century it was the most important port on the West Coast. After being greeted by native Tlingit people, you can stand on the spot where the USA took possession of Alaska in 1867, or simply enjoy the port’s dramatic setting in the shadow of Mount Edgecumbe. Day 11 Ketchikan This morning we arrive in Ketchikan, after sailing along a shoreline that stretches like a ribbon beneath the slopes of Deer Mountain. Easily explored, the town’s highlight is characterful Creek Street, with weathered stairways and quaint buildings built right out over the water - reminders of the area’s 1920s seedier days but now filled with gift shops. Perhaps visit the interesting Tongass Historical Museum, Totem Bight State Park and Saxman Village, or join one of the many optional excursions to explore the surrounding area and its wildlife. Day 12 Victoria This morning we arrive in Victoria on Vancouver Island. Perhaps explore this beautiful city and stroll independently around the Old Town. We set sail this evening for Seattle. Day 13 Seattle - Vancouver Early morning arrival in Seattle, where we disembark and join our coach for the transfer to Vancouver, crossing back over the border to British Columbia. We have arranged a city tour of Vancouver before transferring to our hotel for the next two nights - the Coast Coal Harbour (4T), Westin Bayshore (4T) or Westin Grand (4T). Please note: The Westin Grand does not offer twin beds (twin bookings will get a queen-size bed & a queen-size sofa bed). Day 14 Vancouver Today you are free to explore this coastal city on your own and there is plenty to do, including an optional excursion to Grouse Mountain and Capilano Suspension Bridge with afternoon tea. Day 15 Vancouver - In flight Time this morning for last-minute shopping, before we transfer to Vancouver Airport for a direct, scheduled Air Canada flight to London. Day 16 London Arrival at London Heathrow where you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.
