Itinerary

Day 1 London - Calgary - Banff Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home, for your journey to London Heathrow Airport and a direct, scheduled Air Canada flight to Calgary. On arrival, our coach transports you to Banff, set in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, and our hotel - the Caribou Lodge (3T+). Day 2 Banff - Lake Louise - Banff Today we tour the surrounds of Banff and visit Lake Louise, Canada’s best known lake, renowned for its beautiful setting and magical view of the Victoria Glacier. Returning to Banff and our hotel, we are free this evening to enjoy the town’s good selection of restaurants and bars. Day 3 Columbia Icefield A full-day sightseeing tour takes us along the Icefield Parkway. This stunningly scenic road links Banff and Jasper National Parks, and passes the spectacular Columbia Icefield, one of the biggest accumulations of ice and snow south of the Arctic Circle. We stop here for an included Ice Explorer ride on to the surface of the Athabasca Glacier (subject to favourable weather conditions). Your journey is led by an experienced driver/guide, who shares a wealth of fascinating information about glaciers, icefields and their impact on our environment. There is also the opportunity to safely step out onto the glacier and stand on this powerful ancient ice. We return back to Banff for the evening. Day 4 Banff - Kamloops (Rocky Mountaineer) An early start this morning to board the Rocky Mountaineer train for an award-winning rail journey. Your journey offers an exhilarating range of scenery as you pass by Mount Robson, the expansive glaciers of the Albreda Icefields and the Pyramid Falls. Your accommodation in Kamloops is arranged by Rocky Mountaineer. Day 5 Kamloops - Vancouver (Rocky Mountaineer) Another exciting journey of stunning vistas awaits us on our second day onboard the Rocky Mountaineer - from the desert-like environment of the interior, through winding river canyons and forests, surrounded by peaks of the Coast and Cascade mountains, to the lush green fields of the Fraser River Valley. Arrive in Vancouver, where your accommodation is arranged by Rocky Mountaineer. Day 6 Vancouver - Seattle (Rocky Mountaineer) There are few more pleasant cities than Vancouver; and, indeed, in a week or so, we will conclude this spectacular holiday with extra time here. Today we continue on the final stretch of Rocky Mountaineer’s ‘Coastal Passage’ route from Vancouver across the American border to the ‘Emerald City’ of Seattle. Pass gorgeous views of White Rock, Bellingham Bay, the San Juan Islands, and the Chittenden Locks en route. Our Alaskan cruise aboard the luxurious MS Eurodam (4T) departs from Seattle this afternoon. Day 7 At sea Today is a full day at sea, a great opportunity to explore the ship and familiarise yourself with your home for the next seven days. Holland America Line prides itself on an elegant ambience, gracious service and those important personal touches. Day 8 Juneau Early this morning, we sail through spectacular scenery reminiscent of Norwegian fjord-like landscape, to Juneau, Alaska’s state capital. Juneau has a compact, lively downtown within easy walking distance of the cruise ship dock. Visit the state capitol building and historic Franklin Street which is lined with gift shops, restaurants and bars. Or you may choose to take a whale watching tour to see the diverse marine life in the area including humpback whales and Orcas. Day 9 Glacier Bay National Park This morning you awake to the unforgettable scenery of Glacier Bay National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Glacier Bay has more actively calving tidewater glaciers than anywhere else in the world and is home to huge icebergs and an abundance of birds and wildlife. We depart late afternoon and sail south towards Sitka. Day 10 Sitka We have the whole day to discover Sitka, once a Russian settlement and home to the onion domes of St Michael’s Cathedral. The dramatic scenery in the shadow of Mt Edgecumbe is one of the loveliest in the Great Land. Take a stroll through Sitka National Park, shop in the downtown district or take one of the many shore excursions on offer to view the area’s wildlife, that includes bald eagles and Alaskan coastal brown bears. Day 11 Ketchikan We arrive at Ketchikan, stretching like a ribbon along a narrow shelf of shoreline beneath the slope of Deer Mountain. The main attractions to see this morning are Creek Street, the Tongass Historical Museum, Totem Bight State Park and Saxman Village. We set sail early afternoon. Day 12 Victoria We reach the shore of Canada today, Victoria on Vancouver Island. Take one of the many optional shore excursions to explore this beautiful city including the famous Butchart Gardens or stroll independently around the Old Town. We set sail this evening for Seattle. Day 13 Seattle - Vancouver We arrive back in Seattle and transfer to Vancouver, crossing the border into British Columbia. Enjoy a city tour discovering many of Vancouver’s delightful highlights before transferring to the Coast Coal Harbour (4T) for the next two nights. This evening you might like to sample one of the many restaurants offering a multitude of cuisines to suit all tastes along Robson or Granville Street. Day 14 Vancouver Today you are free to explore. Day 15 Vancouver - In flight A leisurely morning and time for some last-minute shopping, before boarding our coach for the transfer to Vancouver Airport and a direct, scheduled flight to London. Day 16 London Arrival at London Heathrow Airport where you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.
