Itinerary
It is necessary to arrive in Banff a day earlier than your heli-hike adventure begins in order to be transferred to the helicopter pick up point. Check in at a conveniently located hotel in central Banff. We’ll help you find one that meets your needs. (hotel and arrival airport transfer are not included.)

After breakfast we fly out of the lodge, board a deluxe motor coach and retrace the journey through Kootenay and Banff National Parks en route to Banff and Calgary. You will have the choice of being dropped off in Banff or the Calgary Airport

The total tour cost includes the tour price (regular or promotional) and the compulsory local payment. The promotional price is subject to change. Check directly with the operator for the latest price offer. The tour operator requires you to pay only the tour price to purchase your travel. The compulsory local payment will be paid when you join the trip. All prices are based on double, twin or triple share occupancy. Solo passengers will be accommodated in a double, twin or triple room according to availability with a passenger(s) of the same gender. Single supplement only needs to be paid if the passenger does not want to share and requests their own room. Discounts can only be applied at the time of booking and cannot be added at a later date, regardless of any changes made to the original booking.

Accommodation
While at the lodge you will be provided with the following:
- Sturdy, leather hiking boots (unusual and small children sizes are not always available, please call to discuss)
- Insulated, hooded hiking jacket (wind and rain resistant)
- Wind pants and a rain poncho
- Gaiters (which fit over your boots to protect from snow)
- Day pack, water bottle and walking stick (If you have your own collapsable hiking stick you might prefer that so that you can put it in your day pack when not needed)
- Each lodge has whirlpool, sauna, massage, full service bar, washer, dryer, hair dryers, retail shop.
Should you have to cancel your tour the following terms will apply:
Your deposit payment is refundable up to thirty days from booking date. After that all deposits are non-refundable but are transferable to a new booking within the same hiking season, the following hiking season, to a Heli-Ski booking within the same calendar year, or to a replacement guest found by you. All monies become non-refundable 8 weeks before the trip date. If you have not filed an insurance claim and wish to use these funds, a booking must be made with our Reservations Team by Dec 31st 2015.After this time the funds become non-transferable and will be taken as cancellation fees. In all cases of cancellation or changes to your booking, an administration fee of $75.00 CDN + taxes will be charged.
No refunds will be made for any unused portion of the tour.
All cancellations must be made in writing and delivered to The Walking Connection via e-mail and/or United States Post Office. Your cancellation date is the date your notice is received and confirmed by The Walking Connection, not the postmark date.
