Travel Map
Travel through one of our most spectacular river classrooms on this rafting course. The Main Salmon River in Idaho is known as the “River of No Return.” It runs through the heart of the Frank Church, which is one of the largest and most remote wilderness areas in the country. This eight day summer course was designed with the adult professional in mind. You will spend eight days floating on crystal blue waters through a stunning granite canyon while learning the essential skills necessary for multi-day rafting trips. You will have the opportunity to learn and practice river rescue skills, captain boats through Class III whitewater, and try fly-fishing. This course will travel in both oar rafts and paddle rafts, and you will develop the ability to identify and manage river hazards on your own. Each afternoon you will pull up onto a white sandy beach, make camp, cook dinner with your coursemates, and debrief the day’s events. Prime courses provide the opportunity to learn alongside other motivated and like-minded individuals. Further develop your leadership skills on the river, after eight days you will want to head back upstream and do it all again!
